As the Head of Design at Citi, Stephen leads multiple U.S. design studios to create innovative global omni-channel, brand experiences across digital, social, mobile, advertising, branding and bank branches. He is the son of a Creative Director who grew up learning typography on the letterpress in his basement and started his design education working in his father’s advertising agency. As a designer he has 20+ years experience creating the strategy, concepts and designs for award-winning integrated global advertising campaigns, building multiple global Fortune 500 brands and creating innovative digital experiences for web sites, mobile apps, wearables, global social media platforms and emerging technologies. As a leader he has 15+ years experience creating purpose driven, idea led, world-class teams. His clients have included American Airlines, W Hotels, Disney, Citi, ExxonMobil, Acura, Old Navy, Nationwide Insurance, Verizon, St. Regis Hotels, Subaru and many others. His work has received over 150 international design awards, his apps have been named to the World’s 100 Greatest Apps list and he has partnered with Apple, Google, IBM, Adobe and others to design some of the first experiences on Apple Watch, iOS6, iOS7, Apple Passbook and Google Glass.

His cross-media industry expertise spans more than 20 years and boasts many awards. He advanced web and multi-channel Creative efforts at L.L. Bean and had the privilege to work on Seth Godin’s “The Domino Project”?. Dave’s love of the industry is undeniable. He was a past president of the Maine chapter of AIGA and continues to support the design community. He wears many hats in the industry – consultant, in-house team leader, business owner and blogger. At Adobe, Dave helps organizations leverage the tools and best practices to advance business goals.
